Casa Mirage is a monumental residential building in the suburbs of Hajigabul area, Azerbaijan. Ice cold white color was chosen to protect against the direct sunlight of the hot climate, while making the façade contrast its surroundings. The asymmetrically extruded exterior walls are strategically designed to create shadow and protect the glass opening from the desert sun. 
Mirage residence was commissioned by and designed for a Saudi Arabian hunters in an Azerbaijani desert. One of the main requests was to have a big atrium space in the middle of the house with plenty of couch space and a big skylight to allow for a lot of natural light inside. with four spacious bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, Mirage Residence was designed for a big family. In addition, several terraces and a big front patio encourage to spend a lot of time enjoying the surrounding views of mountainous terrain. 
As per client's request, the service spaces (i.e. kitchen) were separated from the living spaces and in a way hidden from the main atrium space and the living and dining rooms. the bedrooms were strategically located on the west side, with windows facing north, to allow more natural lighting inside yet to avoid direct sunlight into the bedroom spaces.
